BERM Rad Carbon Stem – Features

The BERM Rad stem has been made by combining two key materials, carbon fibre and titanium. The advantages of combining the “best of both worlds” are enjoying the benefits of two best materials at the same time without having to sacrifice one for the other.

The RAD stem features a carbon fiber body, offering a lightweight, strong, and vibration-damping connection, while the titanium clamp plates provide excellent strength-to-weight performance and corrosion resistance.

This combination of high-grade materials delivers a balanced and refined result, enhancing handling, control, and rider comfort on rough terrain by reducing cockpit weight and absorbing impacts.

The stem’s wide clamp area improves bar stability, and carefully rounded edges contribute to safe, confident riding.

Specifications:

  • Material:  Carbon bodied with Ti clamp plate
  • Length: 35mm
  • Clamp diameter size: 31.8mm
  • Stem rise: 0° degrees
  • Clamp width: 53mm
  • Stack height: 34.5mm

BERM Roam Titanium Bar – Features

The Roam handlebar is crafted from high-grade aircraft titanium, delivering exceptional strength while maintaining a smooth, shock-damping feel underfoot. Its double-butted construction reduces overall weight without compromising durability, making it ideal for aggressive trail and enduro riding.

The Roam handlebar combines rigidity in key areas with subtle compliance from its titanium construction, allowing precise steering inputs while damping trail vibrations. This balance improves feedback from the terrain, helping riders feel obstacles without being jostled, which enhances control on technical sections and reduces fatigue on longer rides.

Note: The Roam bar that we tested has a black colour PVD coating, then another layer of Cerakote finishing. This finish will be available in the final version, which has just been officially launched via the BERM website. Currently, it’s available in a polished and oil-slick finish.

Specifications:

  • Length: 780mm
  • Backsweep: 9° degrees
  • Upsweep: 5° degrees
  • Rise: 30mm
  • Bar Clamp Diameter: 31.8mm
  • Weight: 290g
  • Designed for trail and enduro riding
  • Finish: Polished / Oil Slick / Black

On The Trails

The Ti bar’s subtle flex smooths chatter without dulling feedback, while the RAD stem’s carbon structure keeps everything razor-precise and featherlight. Together, they form a cockpit that’s as scientifically dialed as it is downright beautiful.

When paired with the RAD stem, the Roam handlebar immediately stood out from any other bar-stem combination we have experienced of late. On the trail, feedback felt precise and highly responsive, providing a clear connection to the terrain without being harsh.

Using a set of super-thin grips further enhanced the experience, offering a smooth yet direct feel that translated every subtle movement into accurate control. At 780mm, the bar is slightly narrower than the our usual preference, yet it felt surprisingly natural, offering a balance of stability and maneuverability.

Trail chatter was noticeably absorbed, and quick directional changes felt sharp and effortless, giving us confidence through technical sections and fast transitions.

Beyond performance, the Roam bar looks like it walked straight out of a bespoke bike atelier. Compared with other bars on the market, it has a refined, elegant profile that somehow manages to feel custom-made without the need for a tailcoat and monocle. It’s the kind of cockpit piece that not only rides well but also makes you do a double-take every time you glance down.

Overall, the Roam bar and RAD stem combo delivers a refined blend of control, comfort, and responsiveness that makes even challenging trails feel manageable and engaging.
