The Women’s Rocday Monty Jersey
There was a time when women’s MTB clothing was a bit boring, predictable, and with only a few brands offering a decent (if any at all) women’s range. But times change (thankfully) and there are many more brands that offer a women’s range. Rocday is a high-quality European brand offering an excellent women’s range and now available in Australia!
The women’s range shares the same features as the men’s range which has been very popular for several years, and the demand from the female community wanting the same high-quality apparel demonstrated how the brand has been received in the industry. The Monty Jersey – Features
The Monty short sleeve jersey is designed for all-mountain and enduro riding with a shape based on the classic t-shirt giving it a comfortable, stylish look and feel, making it perfect for all-day riding and equally at home at any post-ride cafe, bar meetups.
What we like about the Rocday jerseys is that they are made from 50% recycled fabrics. Any move to use recycled fabrics is a bonus for us and is something we feel more brands should be doing.
Rocday apparel is very much suited to the Aussie climate with their high-end technical materials that offer a highly breathable, and moisture-wicking fabric designed to keep you dry and cool, plus odour-free with their special Swiss antimicrobial material treatment. We’re not sure what the “special swiss” treatment is, but this helps to keep you feeling that bit fresher throughout the day.

There’s a goggle/glasses wipe cloth attached to the inside bottom corner of the jersey. Although this is fairly common these days, it’s nice to have, as not all brands offer this.

On The Trails
The Monty jersey has been designed for all-mountain and enduro riding, but to be honest, you can use it for any type of riding. The jersey’s shape is based on a classic T-shirt so it’s super-comfy, has the right amount of body hug, but is not overly tight.
The rear of Jersey has an extended body to cover your back even with a deep-angled riding position and stops that annoying jersey lift phenomenon when riding with a pack. Although this is now expected in Mtb jersey design, there are still a few brands that don’t offer this relatively simple design feature.
The Monty jersey features high-performance materials designed to keep you cool and fresh when things get hot under the collar.

To touch, the fabric feels slightly denser than expected and you’d think it may be too warm, but don’t let that fool you. The Monty jersey is incredibly good at wicking sweat and is highly breathable. On the trails, the jersey felt very comfortable and airy, with no hot spots or harsh edges irritating my skin or cutting into my body.
Rocday has found a good balance between fit and flow with the design of the Monty jersey. It has the right amount of style mixed with technical aspects which gives it that Goldilocks effect, it’s just right.
Another thumbs up for the Monty jersey is the SANITIZED® antimicrobial treatment that Rocday use in the materials. This keeps you smelling and feeling that bit fresher than what you normally may feel, and hey, what’s not to like about that?

Conclusions
If it’s comfort and style you’re after from your mountain bike apparel then the Rocday Monty jersey is it. A lot of thought has gone into the design to provide a jersey that not only performs when it needs to but also looks great on and off the trails.
