Nock, nock? Who’s there? Your favourite hand guards.
Nock handguards have become a top choice for enduro racers—from UCI EDR elites to local competitors—thanks to their smart design. Offering crucial protection against branches and trail debris, they’ve earned a reputation among riders who value performance and safety on tough terrain. Now updated and simplified, the Sendhit Nock V3 is better than ever.
Hand injuries in mountain biking are surprisingly common and often take a long time to heal, sidelining riders for weeks or even months. Whether it’s a smashed knuckle from a tree branch or a jarring impact in a crash, the hands are always exposed. That’s where Sendhit Nock handguards come in—offering a simple but highly effective layer of protection that can help prevent these frustrating injuries before they happen.

Sendhit Nock V2 Vs V3 – What’s changed?
With the Nock V3, they’ve stripped things back by removing the V2’s flip-chip mount—no more juggling between multiple lateral and frontal positions. The result? A simpler, more reliable connection between the hull and the mount.
Sendhit has completely redesigned all the parts and their assembly in order to:
▪ Control the behavior of each part under impact deformation;
▪ Limit the transfer of impact energy to the handlebars in the event of a fall;
▪ Provide additional cushioning for the knuckles when hitting hard surfaces.
The new mounting bracket has undergone several changes:
- 2-screw lock-on system for maximum stiffness and easy installation.
- Wider bracket for stiffer lateral rigidity.
- A plastic ring between the bar and the bracket to reduce stress transfer to the handlebar and rotational forces (more grip with less NM torque!)
- Direct mount system. Very simple installation: remove the locking ring and install the bracket in its place. Compatible with many brands of grips.

Exclusive direct-mount system on select grips to save space between the grip and the triggers, ensuring full compatibility with all e-bikes.

Sendhit Nock V3 – Features
The Nock V3 handguards feature a simplified, stronger connection between the shield and bracket—no flip-chip, no fuss. Built to handle heavy impacts, they absorb shocks, reduce energy transfer to the bars, and protect your hands from branches, debris, and crashes. Every part is designed for maximum durability under aggressive enduro riding.
Despite the tough build, the V3 stays compact and low-profile. The direct grip mount allows for more lateral adjustment and clean cockpit integration, especially on e-bikes. Even without extenders, there’s plenty of room for big hands and long levers. Simple, solid, and ready for anything.

On The Trails
While testing the Nock V3s on some tight, technical trails, we had a few solid scrapes against trees and thick foliage—situations that would’ve usually left our hands bruised or bleeding. But the guards did exactly what they’re meant to do, deflecting branches and taking the hits without budging. They held firm, didn’t rattle, and gave us that extra bit of confidence to stay off the brakes when things got sketchy.

The Nock Handguards take the sting out of the day—and out of your hands—after a full shift of branch and palm-leaf slaps.

At first, we’ll admit they felt like overkill—something you’d maybe only need for race day. But after just a couple of rides, we got completely used to having them on the bike. Now we leave them on all the time. Not just for the protection, but because they actually look pretty cool—kind of a moto vibe, which we’re definitely into.
Since we didn’t have the compatible grips for a direct mount, we ran into a bit of a squeeze with brake and dropper post clamps. We had to shift a few things around on the bar to make it all fit, but it did come together in the end. That said, we’d definitely recommend grabbing the compatible grips if you want an easier setup and to avoid having to shuffle your cockpit layout too much.

Coming into sketchy, tight tree-lined sections brings a quiet confidence, knowing your knuckles are protected when the trees start getting a bit too friendly.

Conclusions
The Nock V3 handguards are a tough, streamlined upgrade for riders looking to protect their hands from branches, debris, and impacts on technical trails. Built with a simplified, stiffer mount, they’re designed to handle the demands of enduro and e-MTB riding while keeping a low profile on the cockpit. The direct grip mounting option (with compatible grips) saves bar space, and once fitted, they stay solid and rattle-free even through rough terrain. They also add a bit of moto-inspired style, which is a nice bonus if that’s your thing.
On the downside, riders without the compatible grips may need to shuffle controls around to make everything fit, which can be a minor hassle. And while they might seem like overkill for more casual trails, once you’ve had them on for a few rides, it’s hard to go back. For anyone riding fast, tight, or technical singletrack, the Nock V3 offers excellent protection, a durable build, and a clean, adjustable fit.
